Hello World in C

For me Hello World for a language is essential. You want that instant gratification from running something so basic that you really should not be able to screw it up.

#include <stdio.h>
 void main() {
 printf("hi there %s", "American");
 }

Hello World Using Inline::C

Very simple example:

#!/usr/bin/perl -w
 sayHello();
 use Inline C=><<'_start';
     void sayHello() {
       printf("hgello universe");
     }
 _start
